PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller with built-in motor adapted to avoid thermal failure when the rotation of a roller with built-in motor or a drive motor is locked.;SOLUTION: A roller with built-in motor 11 driven by a drive motor 7 equipped with a motor drive circuit 1 includes a lock detecting means 4 for detecting that the drive motor 7 or the roller with built-in motor 11 is locked, and a supply power controlling means 5 for controlling a supply power to the drive motor 7.
