PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical simulation method of the in-mold flow pattern of foam considering the formation and extinction with a raw material and a product due to the chemical reaction in the cavity of a mold. PSOLUTION: In simulating the flow pattern of the foam when the reaction mixture composed of isocyanate and polyol components injected in the cavity of the mold is chemically reacted to flow while foamed and diffused into the cavity, the pressures, flow velocities and temperatures of respective vapor and liquid phases are calculated using a conservation formula of mass, a conservation formula of momentum and a conservation formula of energy with respect to the respective vapor and liquid phases and the consumption amount of a raw liquid, the formation amount of a product and the quantity of heat of chemical reaction are calculated from the calculated pressure, temperature and concentration conditions by a chemical reaction model. Further, the advective diffusion of a chemical substance is calculated according to an advective diffusion formula to calculate the substance concentration distributions of the respective vapor and liquid phases.
