PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aerator capable of sound-deadening noise propagated through a ventilation passage while performing good ventilation and having a simple structure. PSOLUTION: This aerator 1 is equipped with a plurality of hollow sound-deadening units 2 and 2 including openings 8 for sound wave incidence. By combining the sound-deadening units 2 and 2, the ventilation passage 10 is formed between the sound-deadening units 2 and 2, and the openings 8 and 8 face the ventilation passage 10. By assembling an aerator like this aerator 1 in a wall body or a fitting of a house, for example, the sound-proofing property can be enhanced while maintaining good ventilation efficiency.
