PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide deep-dyeable modified polylactic acid fiber having deep colorability with high color fastness and wash fastness after dyed, to provide a constitutive composition thereof, and to provide a method for producing the composition.;SOLUTION: The deep-dyeable modified polylactic acid fiber is constituted of such a polylactic acid composition that at least one modifier selected from aliphatic polyester, aromatic polyester and aliphatic-aromatic copolyester is blended in polylactic acid as the main component. When the deep-dyeable modified polylactic acid fiber and another kind of polylactic acid fiber constituted of a polylactic acid composition that does not contain the above-mentioned modifier are dyed at the same dye concentration, the deep-dyeable modified polylactic acid fiber gives a color L-value lower than that of the latter polylactic acid fiber.
