PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a waste water pollution concentration surely in a maintenance-free system for a long period.;SOLUTION: This system is characterized by being equipped with a transparent window part mounted on an opening part formed by opening a part of a waste water pipe, a light emitting part for irradiating light through the window part toward the pollution concentration detection position set in the waste water pipe, a light receiving part for detection arranged toward the pollution concentration detection position in order to receive through the window part scattered light of irradiated light from the light emitting part by objects included in the waste water, a light receiving part for reference arranged toward the fouling detection position which is a transmission position of the irradiated light on the waste water pipe inside surface of the window part in order to receive through the window part reflected light of the irradiated light caused by fouling on the waste water pipe inside surface of the window part, and an operation processing part for calculating the pollution concentration based on the light receiving quantity of the light receiving part for detection and correcting the calculated pollution concentration based on the light receiving quantity of the light receiving part for reference.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
