PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure loss presumption method for a honeycomb structure body for presuming pressure loss by leading a presumption formula capable of simply presuming the pressure loss of the honeycomb structure body at high accuracy.;SOLUTION: In the pressure loss presumption method, an element constituting the pressure loss of the honeycomb structure body 1 is virtually divided to four elements of an entrance section element, a central run-up section element, a central development laminar flow section element and an exit section element by internal pressure distribution obtained by a numerical value fluid analysis method; presumption values ΔP1, ΔP2, ΔP3, ΔP4 of the pressure loss in the respective elements are obtained by first to fourth functions indicated in the following formulae (1)-(4); the thus obtained respective presumption values of the pressure loss are added; thereby, the pressure loss of the honeycomb structure body is presumed.
