Deuterium manufacturing equipment and deuterium production method, as well as deuterium manufacturing plant

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress energy consumption when producing deuterium while reducing the production cost of deuterium.;SOLUTION: LNG (liquid natural gas) is supplied to a raw material hydrogen adjusting unit 20 and a deuterium concentration unit 10 from LNG supply equipment 120. Raw material hydrogen containing deuterium is supplied to a pretreatment unit 30 from hydrogen utilizing equipment 110 and impurities are removed from the raw material hydrogen in the pretreatment unit 30 while the pretreated raw material hydrogen is supplied to the raw material hydrogen adjusting unit 20. The raw material hydrogen is cooled by LNG in the raw material hydrogen adjusting unit 20 and also reduced in pressure in this unit to be cooled to a temperature lower than that of LNG. This raw material hydrogen is guided to the deuterium concentration unit 10 and deuterium in the raw material hydrogen is separated/concentrated by a vapor phase adsorbing method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
