PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing electrode foil for aluminum electrolytic capacitor in which electrostatic capacity of electrode foil is improved by improving pit density and uniformizing pit length and suitability for use under high voltage is provided.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing etched foil for aluminum electrolytic capacitor comprises a pre-stage etching step for forming pits in aluminum foil and a post-stage etching step for enlarging the pits. The pre-stage etching step is divided into two or more stages of electric current application. In each application of electric current, current density at the initiation of etching treatment is made to a maximum value, and, when the current density is lowered from there, the absolute value of the gradient is lowered, and further, the amount of electricity applied to the aluminum foil is made larger in the post-stage etching step than in the pre-stage etching step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
