PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video service quality control method and an apparatus for keeping and enhancing a subjective quality evaluation value.;SOLUTION: The video service quality control method is configured such that a deteriorated pattern extract operation is executed to estimate a deteriorated pattern on the basis of the state of one or two or all of a server, a network, and a terminal measured during services with respect to the subjective quality evaluation characteristic of a quality deterioration generated pattern obtained in advance, the subjective quality evaluation characteristic of the deteriorated pattern is calculated, and service quality deterioration is discriminated on the basis of the result of the calculation. The video service quality control apparatus that implements the method comprises a quality evaluation device 62 and calculates the subjective evaluation value characteristic of the quality deteriorated pattern by using the quality evaluation device; measures the quality deteriorated pattern; calculates a long-time subjective evaluation value from a relationship between the obtained quality deteriorated pattern and a subjective evaluation value, and from the long-time variation characteristic of the subjective evaluation value; and comprises a quality deterioration determination device 63 and determines quality deterioration by using the quality deterioration determination device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
