PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize parts showing holes obtained from a working drawing for sheet metal as various holes which are previously decided in accordance with the types. ;SOLUTION: For recognizing necessary holes from a working drawing for sheet metal displayed on a picture, a closed loop extraction processing part 21 extracts a closed loop from segment data on the working drawing diagram for sheet metal. When the extracted closed loop is matched with the shape of the hole which is previously decided, each of recognition processing parts 22, 23 and 24 of a special hole, a regular hole and a special type hole recognize the closed loop as the holes. When the plural holes are arranged as a previously decided arrangement, a pattern recognition processing part 25 recognizes the holes as a prescribed pattern.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
