PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify an expression specificity of various peroxidases (POX) and provide a means for modifying a vegetable by using the expression specificity. PSOLUTION: A nucleic acid molecule containing a POX promoter having a specific nucleotide sequence, its derivative or its modified product, a method for preparing a transgenic vegetable using the POX promoter, and a vegetable cell, tissue, body and seed obtained by using the preparation method. The hitherto difficult clarification of the expression specificity of various peroxidases can be achieved to obtain a means for modifying a vegetable by using the expression specificity.
