PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon black particle powder having excellent dispersibility, because of its molecular weight dependency parameter α of 0.35 or higher, and excellent fluidity and light fastness, and a coating and a resin composition using the powder.;SOLUTION: The carbon black particle adhered, to its surface, with ultrafine particles of an oxide or a hydroxide containing one or more elements selected from Zr, Ti and Ce is obtained by adding an aqueous solution containing one or more elements selected from Zr, Ti and Ce to an aqueous suspension containing carbon black particles to precipitate rapidly, filtrating the carbon black particles together with ultrafine particles of an oxide or a hydroxide to obtain a mixture comprising the carbon black and ultrafine particles, and compacting and crushing the mixture to cause the ultrafine particles to adhere to the surface of the carbon black particles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
