PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for efficiently manufacturing a polyurethane foam in which the shape of cells composing the foam is almost spherical and the differences of physical properties in the lengthwise and transverse directions are little.;SOLUTION: The polyurethane foam is produced via the charging step wherein a raw material 20 of the polyurethane foam is charged into an airtight container 11, the foaming/reaction step wherein the raw material 20 is foamed and reacted to prepare the polyurethane foam, the pressure adjusting step wherein the pressure in the airtight container 11 is adjusted, and the removing step wherein the polyurethane foam is taken out from the airtight container 11. The time to initiate the pressurization so as to elevate the pressure in the airtight container 11 in the pressure adjusting step higher than that in the charging step is set in the time zone of 0.5-1.3 times of the rise time, and its pressure is set to be higher within the limit of 20-400 kPa in terms of a gauge pressure than the pressure in the airtight container 11 in the charging step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
