PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator for guidance allowed to be easily installed in any place and having good visibility and a platform safety guidance indicating device using it.;SOLUTION: The outline of the guidance indicator is elongated and shaped like rectangular parallelopiped, and the substantially whole surface of the surface side is a light emitting surface. Thus, the installation area and the area of the light emitting surface are substantially equal to each other, whereby in the case of embedding the indicator in the platform, the area to be dug up is reduced so as to lessen the burden of works. Surface light emission is taken, so that high visibility is obtained as compared with the conventional one emitting light in scattered points. The shape of the indicator can be installed in any place, so that it can be easily suspended or incorporated in the other devices, and a place easy to see can be suitably selected to install the indicator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
