PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating organic exhaust gas, by which an organic exhaust gas can be treated at a running cost lower than usual and the load to be imposed on the environment can be reduced.;SOLUTION: This organic exhaust gas treating method includes a gas-liquid contact step to bring the organic exhaust gas containing at least a toxic substance into contact with a treating liquid and dissolve the toxic substance in the treating liquid and a biodegradation step to biodegrade at least the toxic substance.
