PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successively continue conveying work without causing failure of a chain and a driving motor even if a foreign matter such as rubble and small stone is included in earth and sand in a bucket type vertical conveyor for vertically conveying the earth and sand.;SOLUTION: The bucket type vertical conveyor is provided with a conveyor body (10); the chain (16) vertically movably and endlessly connected at the inside of the conveyor body; the driving motor for moving the chain; a plurality of buckets (18) mounted to the chain with predetermined intervals; and a pot-like bottom part (22) arranged along the bottom part of movement track of the bucket and scooping up the earth and sand to the bucket accompanying with movement of the bucket.
