PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transfer efficiency and reduce the amount of discharge toner by preventing the clearing of toner in a secondary transfer part in an image forming apparatus using an intermediate transfer belt.;SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer body is stretched by first and second rollers, a secondary transfer means is pushed on the stretched face, and an intermediate transfer body charging means for imparting charge of the same polarity as the toner to the intermediate transfer body is provided at a position opposed to the secondary transfer means by sandwiching the intermediate transfer body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
