PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for easily obtaining a composite of a solid shape by a short-time reaction under ordinary pressure at room temperature by dispersing in a nanosize shape an organic-inorganic composite comprising an organic polymer selected from the group consisting of polyurethane and polyurea using not expensive alkoxides but an inexpensive alkali silicate as the raw material of glass as an inorganic component.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the organic-inorganic composite comprises mixing with agitation an organic solution (A) obtained by dissolving a compound selected from the group consisting of dichloroformate compounds and phosgene compounds in an organic solvent with an aqueous solution (B) containing an alkali silicate and a diamine. The organic-inorganic composite is obtained by the manufacturing method and comprises at least one organic polymer, selected from the group consisting of polyurethane and polyurea and glass, and the content of glass is 10-80 mass% and the average particle size of glass is at most 500 nm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
