PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is room for an improvement in calibration accuracy. PSOLUTION: A predetermined color patch is printed based on patch image data for printing a plurality of patches wherein a gradation value is changed for each ink color for use in a printer; a color value of the color patch is acquired by performing the colorimetry of the printed color patch; color values, corresponding to all the gradation values of a color correcting table, are acquired by being interpolated by means of a predetermined function, while referring to all the gradation values acquired color value; the color values, corresponding to all the gradation values acquired by interpolation, are contrasted with a standard value as a color value of a standard printing resu and according to the result of this contrast, the color correcting table for correcting color image data is created so that a printing result equivalent to the standard printing result corresponding to the color image data for an arbitrary gradation value can be acquired by the printer.
