PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for preventing roll-over of dump truck capable of highly efficient dump operations by completely preventing the roll-over of a load-carrying platform in dumping the load-carrying platform regardless of an operator's variation among individuals.;SOLUTION: This dump truck, including the load-carrying platform 3 tiltably provided on a truck body 2 is provided with an angle detecting means 10 for detecting the inclination angle of the truck body 2 in the width direction, and a dump operation regulating means for regulating the dump operations of the load-carrying platform 3 by shutting down the connection of a power outtake apparatus if an inclination angle detected by the angle detecting means 10 exceeds a prescribed angle. There is provided an operation delaying means which operates the dump operation regulating means at the prescribed time after the inclination angle detected by the angle detecting means 10 exceeds the prescribed angle. There are also provided a regulation releasing means for releasing the regulation by the dump regulating means and a confirmation means for confirming whether the angle detecting means is proper or not respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
