PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control switching of two states in a multiplex bistable nematic liquid crystal display unit.;SOLUTION: Addressing is made to a bistable nematic liquid crystal dot matrix anchoring breakdown system screen by adding an electric signal, where characteristics are adapted so that the mean square voltage of a parasitic pixel pulse is reduced to the row electrode of a screen, to decrease the parasitic addressing light effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
