PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a filament and a biodegradable polyester sheet material using a compressed gas.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the filament and the biodegradable polyester sheet material comprises: (a) a step of carrying out liquid-phase polymerization of a cyclic monomer in the presence of a catalyst using the compressed gas as a reaction solvent; (b) a step of conducting flash spinning of the biodegradable polyester and producing a filament material; and (c) a step of calendering the filament material and producing the sheet material in the dot bonded form. Since the compressed gas which does not require the addition of a stabilizer is used as the reaction solvent and the liquid-phase polymerization and flash spinning are carried out in a single consecutive process, the method is useful for producing the biodegradable polyester material employed as a biodegradable and biocompatible material useful in medical, chemical, agricultural and environmental fields, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
