PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method or the like capable of measuring an angle of refraction accurately in angle beam ultrasonic flaw detection of a pipe.;SOLUTION: This measuring method is characterized by having a step for selecting two some reflected echoes from each reflected echo caused by artificial flaws provided on the outer surface on a pipe to be measured or on the inner surface and the outer surface on the pipe to be measured, relative to the reflected echo acquired by reflection of an ultrasonic wave oscillated from an ultrasonic probe 1 toward the pipe to be measured; a step for calculating a time interval between the selected two reflected echoes by referring to a signal outputted at a fixed time interval smaller than the time interval between the selected two reflected echoes synchronously with oscillation of the ultrasonic wave; a step for calculating a propagation distance of the selected two reflected echoes on the basis of the calculated time interval and the sound velocity of the ultrasonic wave propagating in the pipe to be measured; and a step for calculating the angle of refraction of the ultrasonic wave on the basis of the calculated propagation distance and the size of the pipe to be measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
