PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color-developing superlattice structure the microsphere diameter of which can be freely controlled, enabling the color tone of color developing light to be easily controlled, and which has a stable superlattice arrangement, and thus developing a bright color; its intermediate; and their production methods.;SOLUTION: The color-developing superlattice structure is prepared by dispersing, in a matrix polymer, core/shell-type microspheres each of which consists of a core and a shell for covering the core and which are prepared by polymerizing a monomer for forming the core and a polystyrene-based macromonomer for forming the shell, by radical polymerization in a nonaqueous solvent system. 4-Vinylpyridine is used as the monomer.
