PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerization system of styrene by using 9-BBN as a polymerization initiator in which living nature is kept by the use of an organic solvent.;SOLUTION: This new organic solvent system to polymerize styrene by hydroboronization-autoxidation living radical polymerization in which living radical polymerization is kept by using 9-BBN as the initiator in an oxygen-existing atmosphere comprises an aromatic solvent such as toluene and benzene, and a compound selected from dioxane, tetrahydrofuran, diethyleneglycol dimethylether and p-chloroaniline.
