PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the width of a top board is restricted by the width of a bookshelf in a conventional study desk with the bookshelf formed by combining a desk with an independent type bookshelf and it is difficult to secure a sufficient working space on the top board. PSOLUTION: A top board back part 14 projects backward from the left/right leg plates 11 and 12, and the both left/right sides of the back part 14 are formed with notches for allowing the intrusion of the back part 14 in the bookshelf 3. Left/right leg parts 22 and 23 have projections 24 and 24 projecting backward from the left/right leg plates 11 and 12, respectively, and the bottom board 4 of the bookshelf 3 is raised from a floor face by a prescribed dimension by a pair of foot 9 and 9.
