PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably receive TMC data of a predetermined program by using a background tuner of a receiver without damaging a diversity function of the tuner.;SOLUTION: A main tuner of the receiver is tuned in to a first receiving frequency to receive a first broadcast channel signal, the background tuner is tuned in to a second receiving frequency to receive a second broadcast channel signal (the second broadcast channel signal containing digital information in a data block). a first data block in the second broadcast channel signal is received in the background tuner, and a transmission time of a second data block in the second broadcast channel signal is estimated.
