PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for a ceramic green sheet by which the ceramic green sheet low in density and also excellent in dispersibility of ceramic powders can surely be obtained. PSOLUTION: The coating material for the ceramic green sheet contains ceramic powder, a binder resin, a good solvent for the binder resin and a poor solvent for the binder resin. The coating material for the ceramic green sheet has 90-600 Pa s viscosity in 0.1 secSP-1/SPshear rate and 320-1,400 Pa s viscosity in 0.01 secSP-1/SPshear rate, respectively.
