PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user, who is not used to operations of information equipments to download an electronic certificate easily and unfailingly.;SOLUTION: When a terminal device 1i sends a certificate request to a certificate issuing site S1, a certificate issuing apparatus 2 sends a certificate file of PKCS#12 format to the terminal device 1i after password authentication. Here, the certificate file includes other than the electronic certificate (a client certificate), a URL (t-URL) which the terminal device 1i accesses when downloading is successful, and a URL (f-URL) which the terminal device 1i accesses when downloading is not successful. As, the terminal device 1i accesses either the t-URL or the f-URL based on a result of downloading, the certificate issuing apparatus 2 automatically shifts to a succeeding process in accordance with the result of downloading.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
