PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a mold using a radially expandable bead molding ring for molding an undercut bead.;SOLUTION: The bead molding ring 252 of a split mold has first and second segments 254 and 256 alternately arranged in a circumferential direction and, when the wedge-shaped first segments 254 are moved outwardly in a radial direction, they wedge in the gaps between the second segments 256 to extend the segments and the ring 252 is expanded to form a bead molding surface 259 continued in a circumferential direction. The first and second segments 254 and 256 are restricted so as to be moved only in the radial direction by a guide rod. The member of the bead molding ring 252 is combined with a single assembly and the expansion thereof is performed by simple operation due to a single frusto-conical cam. By this constitution, the bead molding ring can correspond to various undercut bead shapes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
