A system and method for measuring social capital index in an online social network has developed to measure competitive power, coherence, etc. with social capital index by a plurality of element (trust, integrity, solidarity, openness, importance, intimacy) towards specific network with each individual, and the whole network; to set up standards of route search in the social network map (GUI which expresses the social connection network as a graphic map); perform innovative services with obtaining asymmetric information of the link, the object of network analysis of the social connection network, and to establish a stable network.
