This method and devices make it possible to dry very moist masses such as, among other things, pig manure without the need for prior separation of thin and thick fraction. The pig manure or thin mass (with a minimum of 3% dry matter) is first partially evaporated by being boiled and processed in the pre-evaporator before it enters the dryer. The heat source can come from natural gas, heat from engines or from any product that can burn and is permitted by law.
