PROCESS FOR BENEFITING A MINERAL SUBSTRATE FOR MAGNETIC SEPARATION, AND MAGNETIC REAGENT FOR BENEFITING A MINERAL SUBSTRATE. A magnetic reagent containing magnetite microparticles and a compound of the formula (I) (I) R- (CONH-O-X) -N defined herein is described. The magnetic reagent can be used in a magnetic separation process to remove impurities from mineral substrates.
