METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF BROMATE IONS BY USING PHENOTHIAZINES AND A PORTABLE UNIT FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE METHOD.

A method for determining bromide ions and a portable unit for the application of the method in the determination of bromate ions in natural or ozonized water, by using phenothiazines – sulfamic acid – sodium chloride in an aqueous medium with hydrochloric acid. The method can be applied under field conditions without the requirement for electric energy or additional equipment, and it can be applied in all organizations and companies which employ ozone treatment and provide ozonized, tap or bottled water.
