An auction system (10) has a main auction device (12) and a sub-auction device (14) connected to the main auction device (12) through a connector (16). The connector (16) determines a bidding price for the main auction device (12) based on the bidding price of the highest bidder of the sub-auction device (14) and bids the determined bidding price in the main auction device (12). The connector (16) further determines a presentation price to be presented to the bidders of the sub-auction device (14) as the bidding price of the highest bidder of the main auction device (12) based on the bidding price of the highest bidder of the main auction device (12) and notifies the sub-auction device (14) of the presentation price.
