METHOD FOR MAKING COUNTERFEITING AND FORGERY PROOF DOCUMENTS

A method for making counterfeiting and forgery proof documents is disclosed. The method comprises superimposing at least two materials (10, 20) having different resistances to laser said materials being arranged adjacent to each other onto a substrate (30), said substrate having a higher resistance to laser than each of the superimposed materials (10, 20) characterized by treating said superimposed materials (10, 20) with a laser beam guided along a preset path to modify by sublimation a part of each superimposed material (10, 20) by subjecting said superimposed material to said laser beam without substantially burning or sublimating said substrate (30). Also disclosed is the documents prepared by such method.
