The present invention relates to a nanofiller - enabled polymeric composition for Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) method of damping structural vibration which exhibits high vibration damping at low cost and easy processability. The composition is to be used in a CLD system having steel, aluminium or fiber reinforced composite (FRP) as substrate, and steel, aluminium or FRP as the constraining layer. The polymer composition is effective at temperature ranges of 0 - 50 °C and may be employed by the transportation industry, appliance industry, aerospace industry, the building industry and military.
