A dressing comprising: an absorbent substrate having a first skin-facing surface and a second opposing surface; and a discontinuous, coating of a semi-solid composition having an ointment-like feel overlying a portion of the first surface of said absorbent substrate; wherein said coating is substantially non-adherent to the skin, and a first active ingredient is contained within said absorbent substrate; a second active ingredient is contained within said discontinuous coating; and said active ingredients are intended to deliver one or more therapeutic benefits to the skin.
