Acidification is normally used for the stimulation of oil wells, which consists in attacking the aquifer medium with an acid, when it is formed by carbonates. The additive for the stimulation of oil wells has been designed in a development and research laboratory for the aforementioned purposes. The additive formulation includes a mixture of acrylamide, polycarboxylic acid and a moisturising agent. The stimulator acts as follows: dissolving the limestone in a quick manner and the dolostone in a slow manner, thus forming soluble H3PO-C-CA and H3PO-C-Mg respectively and releasing large amounts of carbonic gas. Likewise, this spread material acquires an under-stoichiometric effect for forming complexes with the alkaline-earth salts in the water in order to avoid the crystallization thereof.
