A bottom region of the sleeve (1) includes a lower sleeve portion (7, 7') which is located next to one of the sleeve length seams (2) and which looks the same as an upper sleeve portion (6) next to the upper edge of the sleeve (4). The sleeve comprises a cone-shaped top sheet (3') and a cone-shaped bottom sheet (3'') of film material which are positioned one above the other and joined together along two length seams to form a sleeve with a wide upper edge and narrow lower edge (5). The sleeves include portions (6, 9) which look different from each other, due to e.g. different printed patterns, transparency and/or translucence, one of these portions being located next to the upper edge of the sleeve. An independent claim is also included for a method for making the sleeve by placing two sheets of film on top of each other, and cutting the sheets of film at an angle using at least one knife and seal beam and/or a cut-and-seal beam to form two cone-shaped sheets joined together along two length seals. The upper sleeve portion of the sheets extends into the adjacent sleeve so that after cutting, the sleeves will have a lower portion next to the lower edge of the sleeve that has the same appearance as the upper portion.
