The compost mat has a woven fabric provided with holes, where the woven fabric is made of polypropylene. Warp threads are made of high strength material such as ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, high-density polyethylene or aramid material. Warp threads have thickness ranging from 5-50 decitex. Weft threads have thickness ranging from 2.500-7.500 decitex. An independent claim is also included for a compost mat and compostable material combination.
