The translucent device passively varies a haze of the transmitted light by comprising translucent light spreading elements arranged on a first surface and a second surface arranged opposite the first surface. The recurrent patterns are configured for providing a maximum haze of the transmitted light for light impinging at a first angle of incidence, and for providing a minimum haze of the transmitted light for light impinging on a second angle of incidence, different from the first angle of incidence.
