Disclosed is a compound of formula (I), or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, wherein X and Y are either substituents as defined in the specification or together form a ring, l and m are each 0-3 and their sum is 1-3, and wherein the other substituents are as described in the specification. Also disclosed is the use of the compound for suppressing intracellular signal transduction or cell activation induced by endotoxin, and for treating diseases associated with this transduction or activation, such as sepsis.
