The invention relates to a solution of convergence between heterogeneous networks (different wireless technologies). The proposed solution has a higher capacity to fight against transmission errors in environments hostile radio, especially in mobile environments in expressways at high speed or in urban environments.The performance of the solution is a result of the combination between the diversity of source (multiple descriptions), spatial diversity, diversity and frequency diversity network. Diversity in the source, relates to generate two or more descriptions of the source and send each of the descriptions for each network.In this invention, the use of parallel networks of heterogeneous (different network) wireless broadband allows a natural way to conduct switching (handover) between these networks. The object of the invention is valid for any combination of networks using radio waves (wireless), especially broadband to transmit information.
