A security container resistant to explosive break-in attacks

A security container such as a safe, vault, safety cabinet or cash box, resistant to explosive break-in attacks, particularly attacks with an explosive gas, comprises a housing (2) and a door (3). The housing consists of walls, formed by an interior (10) and an exterior side (11), between which at least a reinforcing element (12, 13) is arranged. On the interior (10) and/or exterior side (11) of each sidewall (5, 6) there is formed at least one weakened area (14, 15) of the side (10, 11). A weakened area (16, 17) is formed also on at least one reinforcing element (12, 13). Each of the contact edges of the two interior sides (10) of the sidewalls (5, 6) with the interior side of the lower (4) and the upper wall (8) of the security container (1) is reinforced by at least one reinforcing element (18) on the exterior side.
