An infant formula for reducing constipation, abdominal pain and indigestion in children comprising at least one easily digested protein component having a phosphorous content of less than 0.75 g P/100 g protein and at least one easily digested lipid component, moreover at least one probiotic component and at least one viscosity improving component. In particular the protein component is a hydrolysate obtained by hydrolysing a starting protein material, particularly whey proteins by action of a combination of at least one endoproteinase and at least one exoproteinase.
