Method for determination of shear module and logarithmic decrement of vibrations in radial and tangent directions of wood at given frequency at which sample is fixed in console way in support device and through it vibration is transferred to sample, as indicator of vibration one uses transformer that reacts on vibrations of the sample and logarithmic decrement of vibrations is determined by width of resonance peaks. Besides that by change of length of console of the sample one achieves resonance at given frequency and by resonance lengths of console one determines module of elasticity of sample.
