METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF TRICHOPHYTOSIS UNGUIUM OF HALLUX WITH HYPERKERATOSIS SUBUNGUALIS, DERMATOPHYTOMA AND BILATERAL NAIL INGROWTH INTO EPONICHEAL STRUCTURES

摘要

A method for the surgical treatment of the trichophytosis unguium of hallux with hyperkeratosis subungualis, dermatophytoma and the bilateral nail ingrowth into eponicheal structures provides for the resection of the body of nail. The bilateral eponichectomy is performed with formation of retronicheal flap and its separation in proximal direction followed by the resection of the body of nail from the free edge of nail through onicholysed structures. For the sanitization of the nail bed, the growth area and nail matrix in the ingrowth area are dissected mechanically.
