A method for diagnosing the impaired magistral blood flow in the liver in the patients with the chronic diffuse liver pathology comprises the assessment of the average linear blood flow rate and volume blood flow rate in the celiac trunk, the common hepatic artery, and the portal vein, the calculation of the venous return index as the ratio between the volume blood flow rate in the portal vein and in the celiac trunk.
