A method for prognostication of a course of chronic nonspecific inflammatory diseases of intestines comprises the determination of severity of disease course. The function of the vascular endothelium is studied by means of ultrasonic test in patients with reactive hyperemia.At increase in diameter of a humeral artery less than on 10 % from an initial level the adverse course of disease is predicted, and at increase in diameter of a humeral artery more than on 20 % - favorable course of chronic nonspecific inflammatory diseases of intestines is predicted.
